So in the end, it is really about money. ;)HOWEVER, I think these kind of microloans are fantastic. So many of BYU's business faculty is involved. And it requires such a small amount per woman--sometimes only $50-100. Such an easy way to change the course of someone's life, if not the course of her posterity's future.
Everything is about money. I don't think there is just one magical answer to the problems of the world... but microloans are making a big difference all over the world.
This is something I have always been interested in. I would like to start my own organization to provide opportunities for microenterprise. I have done quite a bit of research about it, actually. I'm not sure how/when I will do it, but I am working on that.
