star struck

Since in my last blog ya'll sucked, I want to use this post to let you know how absolutely fabulous my friends are.

Kat is the style icon, the absolute
Audrey Hepburn of my life. She is definitely the "IT" girl of 2005 (and 03 and 04). She is also one of the kindest and most considerate people I have ever known.
Ritz is the
Lucy to my Ethel. My partner in crime. Who else could I make up words with and laugh my head off with every single day? And she is so giving!!
Em, oh Em. She is her own movie star. I adore her and she makes me happy. She's the kind of girl you want to be around all the time and her comedic timing is amazing, kind of like
Helen Hunt. She can also be my constant reality check and has the gift of Simon Cowell, to tell it like it is. (But she is far more attractive.)
Jon is the
Jimmy Stewart of my life. So much charm and propriety. He is also the eternally unrequited love of my life.
Liz is my
Katharine Hepburn. Fashionable, beautiful, strong, and hilarious. Sometimes I wish I could just follow her for a week. I live in awe of her.
Chris is my
Dick Van Dyke, need I say more? I will! Funny, charming, attractive. He needs his own show.
Nama proves to the
Kimmy Gibblers of the world that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that you can grow up to be a remarkable and extremely loveable person.

Ya'll know my attention span is short, so I worked on this as long as I could. Even if you aren't listed here, I still love you and I'm grateful for the role you play in my life!

Can I just say that you scored about 100,002 brownie points for having me kiss Grace Kelly? If only . . .

Jon said...

Make that 80 bazillion brownie points.

And you're right. Rachel IS Mary Tyler Moore. Cute and talanted, but lovable and approachable. Solidly devoted to her significant other, and undeniably sensible.

Is anybody else disturbed that I'm a mean, grouchy English man? Well... I guess that is how it is... except I'm not English... and I'm not a man.

my whole life was merely prelude to this moment. being compared to audrey hepburn is the best thing that ever happened to me.
you, leah, are my goldie hawn. beautiful, bubbley, vivacious.
you're my hero.

Duh Em, I totally compared you to Helen Hunt who is a total fox! Nama! Gibbler turned out ok and so did you! Quit your whining, you made the list!

yeah, at least YOU made the list. I'm not even mentioned, even though y'all ditched Leah the night of the concert and I was on the reserve list...probabily on the last page.

the concert was fun. I got to indirectly heckle the lead singer from the first crappy band, then yell at the second not-so-but-still crappy band, and I got to check out some of the fine ladies that were in attendance, one of whom was the girl that invited me go in the first place.

Jay! Ritz didn't want to change out of her pjs and all the other folks in my apartment wanted to watch movies and you were the very FIRST person I thought to call. I'm super glad you came, no one else could have heckled the "Galaxy of Ear-ache" properly. Why is everyone so whiney?

Em said...

why is your MOM so whiney? oh yeah... because she's fat...

She's not whining, that's the sound her rolls make when she walks. It's pretty much the same thing as when a cricket rubs his legs together.
