The Goal?

Don't let it go to my head. No, I'm not talking about looking in the mirror, I'm referring to my fatigue. Yes I'm tired. No I can't do anything about it that I know of, yet. But I've got a lot of stuff to do. I just keep on doing what I've been doing, get at least 8 hours of sleep at night (ha ha, I wish), and get on with my life. It certainly can take an emotional toll, but it doesn't have to. There are a lot of misconceptions about CFIDS. Let me address the ones I hear the most. First is that it's hypochondria, factitious, and/or malingering. It's not. Second, that it's depression and/or mental illness. It's not. For some people, some of these things could be interrelated. I've looked into it, believe me. I'm covering my bases. Am I looking for advice? No. Sympathy? No. I'm just chronicling my experience. Validating myself. Sharing it with you. Whining. Mostly whining.

Thanks for listening.

P.S. I still love my job. It's the greatest. And they're ridiculously supportive. And fun. Happy times.

...And I just got a fierce hankering for sushi.

The end.

Hey, Leah. This is Roxcy, a.k.a Sister Nielsen. I was on Jessica's blog and saw the link to your website and decided to check in. It's totally sucks about the Chronic Fatique.

I was dignosised with it as well before the mission. I will tell you what helped soooooooooo much. Make me want go for a run, well, you know at least think about it. : )

Acupuncture. Seriously, find a GOOD acupuncturist, and get yourself poked. I am telling you it works. The first time I felt worse, but after about the second or third time I started to feel a difference. It's normal to have a set back at the begining. I have a friend who sent her daughter to an acupunturist after talking to me and it helped her too.

When I got home from the mission my naturepathic doctor had learned a lot about allergies and the effects they can have on people and did some more test on me.

Needless to say I am allergic to wheat, corn, dairy, potatoes, and tomatoes. Not much.

Also, I have gotten my adrenal glands checked and am on some stuff for that. Let me tell you it's AMAZING STUFF!

Then just two weeks ago I got the results back from getting my Vitamin D checked and it is low. I am working on two weeks of taking mega doses of vit D and I think I might be able to say I feel better than I ever remember feeling.

So, This is like a book. I hope it help. Love you.
